I was hunting Allen and Ginter blasters at Target this week and saw another oddball product Topps put out this season:
Ah, something new to buy having to do with MLB! Little square stampers? Okay!
Each pack comes with one Qubi, and retails for $3. At least that's what it was at Target I think. I figured I should get one and check it out, and knowing my odds of getting a Ranger were slim. I figured there were plenty of other players I wouldn't mind getting. Harper, Trout, Jeter, McCutchen, Stanton, Ichiro, Kershaw, Cliff Lee.. any one of those would be fine too. So who did I wind up with?
Dammit! Ryan Howard. Oh well. I've got nothing against Ryan Howard, but I can think of at least 3 other Phillies I'd rather have if I had to get a Phillie.
Ryan Howard aside, these are pretty cool little trinkets. Each side is no bigger than a penny. It's made of solid clear plastic with images visible on every side. On the bottom is the ink stamper. So now I can stamp my checks with Ryan Howard's signature. I'll at least start stamping my trade packages with it, and fool you guys into thinking I got Ryan Howard into autographing the envelope. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Actually, if Topps would have nixed the stamp aspect of this product and made them a tad bigger, these would be pretty cool paper weights.

I love oddballs... especially these types of gadgets. But I won't be dropping $3 on these anytime soon. Here's my plan. I'm going to wait around 25 years and find some die hard collector who took the time to build this 75 cube set to sell me the complete set for the price of three packs. Or maybe I'll wait for Cardsone to buy the excess surplus of this product from Topps and have them build me a set. Either way... it's pretty much my destiny to own this set at some point in my lifetime.
Good plan!
