Cheap Cards With Great Stories: 1963 Topps Marv Throneberry

I picked up this card online last week, solely because of a story I heard about Throneberry while watching Ken Burn's Baseball Documentary:

The Mets came into being in 1962 and were one of the worst teams in Major League history.  Throneberry played 1B for them that year and apparently was pretty awful himself.  The story goes that in a game against the Cubs that summer, Throneberry hit a triple but was called out for missing 2nd base. The Mets manager at the time, Casey Stengel, came out to argue the call.

"I hate to tell you this Casey," said the umpire, "but he missed first base too."
