Goodwill Finds

I really wanted to name this post Goodwill Hunting, but even I think that is a little hacky.

About a month ago, my sister called from the Goodwill store in her city.  Before I could ask her what the hell she was doing in a Goodwill store, she told me she found a bunch of bobbleheads for $2 each.  Long story short, I told her to get one of everything, and get every Piazza, Ichiro and Ripken they had.  I picked them up from her recenty:

I do not know why Blogger rotates this picture.  I don't have time to mess with it, so just turn your head to view.

I guess this was a short lived program from UD.  Obviously I didn't help keep the series going in 2001, since this was the first I ever saw of them.  That's too bad, because these are pretty nice. I actually have a pretty sizeable Startting Lineup/McFarlane collection, so these go quite nicely with them.

Goodwill Hunting is an awesome post name!

I never find anything like this. I never even find baseball cards. I've browsed Goodwills, Salvation Armys, thrift stores, you name it. Bust. One day I'll get lucky! I've actually had some luck with antique malls (if they aren't overcharging). And I need to check around some of these other local flea markets that San Jose Fuji talk about.

But man, nice score! By the way, I show the existence of 2000 and 2001 versions, but I've never seen a 2000 Playmaker (not that I'm looking).

Should've went with Goodwill Hunting. It's not hacky at all. These are amazing pickups.

I never get this lucky either. Once, I got a tip from a buddy that there was Torri Hunter bobblehead at the Salvation Army. I went down there, found it, and they wanted $10 freakin' dollars. I thought I was supposed to get a good deal at the SA! I bought it anyway. It was for a good cause, right?

Any interest in trading any of those? Might want the McGwire if you are looking to move them. Nice pickups.
